Niseko
To coincide with the launch of the Powder Tools range. I was assigned the task of designing the concept and fit out for a temporary pop-up store at the base of Niseko’s most popular ski resort. The challenge was working within the confines of a corporate function room and pushing the space to accommodate the Deus aesthetic. I designed a raised timber false floor in one section of the room which comprised of an integrated seating bench, the floor then continued out onto the patio which helped bring continuity to both the interior and exterior. With limited wall space, I had to look to the fall as real estate to utilize for art. I used graphics from regular collaborative artists (Land Boys) to bring through the art element to the space.
There was also the need for a graphic for the project. The logo I created brings through a heritage feel with the use of a retro fun type treatment. The graphic was then applied to a range of merchandise for the store.
